Privacy at VibeFinder

A profile exists to do exactly three things: save your preferences, save places you love, and help our matcher find spots that fit you. Here's how we keep that safe.

Our privacy pledge

Privacy isn't a settings page at VibeFinder. It's how the whole thing is built.

  • We never sell or share your data

Not to advertisers, not to partners, not to anyone. Ever.

  • Anonymous by design

Your name and contact details are stored separately from everything about your taste. Answers and saved places live under a random pseudonym that can't identify you.

  • You stay in control

Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account (and every trace of it) anytime, in one tap.

What we store

Your account holds your name, email, and (only if you add them) a phone number and age range. Separately, under a random pseudonym, we store your taste answers and the places you've saved. That's the whole list.

How anonymization works

Your taste data never carries your name, email, or any identifier: only a random code. The one table linking that code to your account is locked away from every client and only crossed, briefly, on our servers to show you your own data. A copy of the preference data alone can't be traced back to you.

How personalization works

When you search while signed in, a short anonymous summary of your taste rides along with the query so the matcher can break ties your way. Your query always wins. The profile only sharpens it. Turn personalization off in settings and searches behave exactly as if you were a guest.

Optional: anonymized demographic training

Off by default. If you opt in, your age range (and nothing identifying) may be used in aggregated, anonymized form to make matching better for everyone. Opting out later removes it.

Your rights

Export everything we hold about you as a file, correct it, or erase your account and all its data instantly, from your profile settings, no email to support needed. This is your GDPR right and our default, not a favor.
